  • Go2 operates a digital platform that connects users with independent service providers, freelancers, vendors, and other service professionals.
  • For purposes of this Privacy Policy, Go2 is generally the "responsible party" in relation to personal information processed through the Platform, except where another party independently determines the purpose and means of processing.

Payment Information

Payments are generally processed through third-party payment service providers. We may receive limited payment related information such as:

  • payment token or masked card details;
  • payment method type;
  • transaction status;
  • billing references;
  • payout details for Service Providers.
  • Go2 does not intentionally store full card numbers or CVV details unless expressly stated and lawfully permitted.

Communications and User Content

  • messages sent through the Platform;
  • support tickets;
  • call or chat records where lawfully recorded;
  • uploaded photos, documents, or attachments;
  • reviews, ratings, comments, and feedback.

Special Personal Information

  • Go2 does not intentionally collect special personal information unless strictly necessary and lawful, such as where required for identity verification, safety, disability accommodation, insurance handling, legal compliance, or dispute resolution. Where required by law, we will obtain additional consent or rely on another lawful basis.

HOW WE COLLECT PERSONAL INFORMATION

  • directly from you when you register, book, pay, or contact us;
  • automatically when you use the Platform;
  • from your device when permissions are granted;
  • from Service Providers or Users involved in a booking;

WHY WE PROCESS PERSONAL INFORMATION

  • enabling bookings, service matching, and service fulfilment;
  • facilitating communication between Users and Service Providers;
  • processing payments, refunds, and payouts;
  • operating, maintaining, and improving the Platform;

LAWFUL BASIS FOR PROCESSING

  • processing is necessary for pursuing Go2’s legitimate business interests, including fraud prevention, network security, operational continuity, quality control, and dispute handling, where such interests are not overridden by your rights;

  • Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time, subject to legal and operational limitations.

LOCATION DATA

We may collect and use location data to:

  • display nearby service options;
  • improve matching and availability;
  • provide map and route functionality;
  • verify attendance or service completion;
  • support safety, fraud prevention, and dispute resolution.
  • Where required by your device or applicable law, location data will be collected only where you grant permission.  
  • You may disable location access in your device settings, but some Platform features may become unavailable or less effective.

SHARING OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

  • We do not sell your personal information.

We may share personal information with the following categories of recipients where reasonably necessary:

Service Providers and Users

  • We may share relevant booking, contact, and location information between Users and Service Providers to enable the requested service.

Third-party Operators and Vendors

We may share information with third-party providers who assist us with:

  • payment processing;
  • cloud hosting and storage;
  • analytics;
  • customer support;
  • communications and notifications;
  • identity verification;
  • fraud prevention;
  • security and monitoring;
  • mapping and geolocation services;

Where personal information is transferred cross border, Go2 will take reasonable steps to ensure that the recipient is subject to:

  • a law;
  • binding corporate rules; or
  • a binding agreement that provides an adequate level of protection substantially similar to POPIA.

DATA RETENTION

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, including:

  • account administration;
  • bookings and payment records;
  • legal compliance;
  • tax and accounting requirements;
  • dispute resolution;
  • fraud prevention and security;
  • enforcing our rights.

     
  • Retention periods may vary depending on the nature of the information and the legal or operational reason for retaining it.  
     
  • Where lawful and reasonably possible, information that is no longer needed may be deleted, anonymised, or deidentified.  
     
  • Requests for deletion are subject to any recordkeeping, legal, fraud prevention, or contractual retention obligations.

SECURITY

  • Go2 implements reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information against loss, misuse, unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction.  
  • These measures may include access controls, encryption, tokenisation, logging, monitoring, restricted permissions, and operator agreements.
  •  No method of transmission, storage, or processing is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

YOUR RIGHTS

Subject to applicable law, you may have the right to:

  • request confirmation of whether we hold personal information about you;
  • request access to a copy of your personal information;
  • request correction of inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated information;
  • request deletion or destruction of personal information where legally permissible;
  • object to certain processing activities;
  • withdraw consent where processing is based on consent;
  • request restriction of processing in appropriate circumstances;
  • lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator.

DIRECT MARKETING

  • Go2 may send service-related communications without marketing consent where those messages are necessary to operate your account or fulfil a booking. 
  •  Go2 may send direct marketing communications by email, SMS, push notification, WhatsApp, or similar channels only were permitted by law.
  •   You may opt out of promotional communications at any time by using the unsubscribe function, changing your app settings, or contacting us.  
  • Opting out of marketing does not affect transactional, safety, support, or legally required messages.

COOKIES, SDKs, AND ANALYTICS
Our website and app may use cookies, pixels, software development kits (SDKs), analytics tools, and similar technologies to:

  • remember preferences;
  • authenticate users;
  • analyse usage;
  • improve performance;
  • detect fraud;
  • measure campaigns.

THIRD-PARTY LINKS AND SERVICES

  • The Platform may contain links to or integrations with third-party services. Go2 is not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties, and you should review their policies separately.

INCIDENTS AND DATA BREACHES

  • If Go2 becomes aware of a security compromise affecting personal information and notification is required by law, we will take reasonable steps to notify affected persons and/or the relevant regulator in accordance with applicable legal requirements.

CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

  • We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.  
  • Updated versions will be published on the Platform or website with a revised effective date. 
  • If a change is material, we may provide additional notice through the App, email, or other suitable means.
